Spawning !!!

This morning we have seen our first spawned out carp landed as well as males depositing milt on the mat. It seems that the warm weather has actually brought spawning on and at least some of the carp have completed the act with others prepared to start as soon as water temperatures creep back up. Having said that we are still seeing plenty of action and the total has reached 81 carp and 1 sturgeon for the week. Overnight was fairly quiet with a couple of 28+ fish topping the list of 15 fish in total. With cooler temperatures and rain for the next couple of days it will be interesting to see how things develop.
