The week finished off in grand fashion after a relatively slow start. The return on very hot conditions was not a great help however the lads know the lake and certainly got the best from their weeks fishing. The total catch was 49 carp for the four anglers, all regular visitors to the fishery. The breakdown of individual catches shows that the all swims had fish in front of them although the spread of fish changed depending on the daily conditions. At times the shallows were crawling with fish and yet some hours later and barely a fish was to be seen. Nights were a time when fish could be heard crashing out all over the lake, something that has continued into this week. Anyway, individual catches were as follows….
Keith – 19 carp including fish of 41lb, 41lb, 42lb, 44lb, 45lb, 45lb, 46lb, 48lb and 64lb.
Chris – 16 carp including fish of 44lb, 46lb, 49lb, 49lb, 53lb, 58lb and 64lb.
Bugsy – 9 carp including fish or 40lb, 44lb, 49lb, 50lb and 53lb.
Mark – 5 carp including fish of 40lb, 40lb, 41lb and 44lb.
By weight categories –
2 x 60lb+
4 x 50’s
19 x 40’s
25 x 30’s
9 doubles and 20’s.
A few smaller fish were also banked but not included in totals.
A good weeks fish that the lads can be proud of. Some wonderful fish were banked and yet the bulk of the bigger fish once again failed to show up. A good autumn is in store I reckon !!
