And it just gets better !!
Its been another wonderful 24hrs since my last post and the total stands at 97 carp for the week to date. Very special when you consider that 4 of our anglers are 14, 16, 18 and 20 yrs old. Only Frans is a real “oldie” and celebrated his senior status with a new pb and record common for the lake at 44lb. The rain has fallen and the wind has blown but the fish keep coming. With 5 x 40’s and 20 further 30’s up to 39.6lb’s we are experiencing our best ever week for the sheer quality of the fish. So far every angler has broken their pb and we have seen new lake records for both mirror and common carp. The remainder of the catch has also been of a good size with 7 x29’s and a host of other big 20’s. It will be interesting to see how the forecast change in the weather will effect things with sunshine taking the place of rain from saturday.
14yr old Koen Symons and his new pb.

And here is Dad, Frans Symons showing the ‘oldies’ can catch as well with a new pb of 44lb.

frans en Koen very well done.
It ’s good to see that you are doing so well.
Keep up the spirit and hopefully you catch a lot of carps again.

Right enough is enough, you lot at the lake had better stop catching all these 40’s at once. You are just being greedy now what about us poor souls that have to sit here reading about your exploits,it’s just not fair. (toys well & truly thrown from pram)
Chris.
Mine too chris ,my next booking is too far away boo hoo .
I’m not too bad I suppose Adrian I only have to wait until the end of July.
Chris
Good grief, look at that huge Common! 44lbs, the ghost of Clarissa!
I’ve been away for two days and the place has gone mad – unbelievable. What a week. Odds on they’ll be spawning around May 16th when we get there.. typical!
